Gumi City boasts the largest high-tech industrial area inland, comprised of five complexes. Numerous secondary battery corporations have relocated there and are operating successfully. PNT, a machinery manufacturing company, is focusing on producing equipment for the secondary battery electrode production process. they produce approximately 80% of the mass production machinery employed by three top battery cell manufacturers in Korea.
