Intersolar Forum: discover the energy world’s hottest topics

The Intersolar Forum is your source for concentrated expert knowledge on technical innovations in the international solar industry during The smarter E Europe’s three exhibition days. The forum will be kicked off on Wednesday June 19, in hall A3, booth no. A3.150 with presentations by the companies nominated for The smarter E AWARD. They will showcase their solutions in module technology, inverters, mounting solutions, and monitoring tools in ten-minute pitches. This will be followed by sessions highlighting developments in large-scale PV plants and building-integrated photovoltaics (BIPV). Both are promising markets for the near future.

On Thursday, June 20, the sessions will begin with presentations on the latest trends in inverters, which are becoming more intelligent, intuitive and integrated. After that, you are welcome to attend the session Combining Photovoltaics and Agriculture, which will focus on the potentials, business models and best practices of agricultural PV. The Joint Forces for Solar platform has invited interesting experts who will talk about emerging business models, technology developments and strategies for building intelligent PV systems.

The program on Friday, June 21, will be dedicated to commercial PV systems. The latest storage technologies and the trend towards glass-glass modules will be discussed. You will also learn how to optimally manage thermal processes, cooling and charging of e-vehicles. The forum will conclude with presentations on the wide range of job opportunities in the German solar industry. Roofing and electrical trade businesses will explain what career options are available and advise companies on how to improve their recruitment. The #ohkw initiative and the Renewables Academy will provide information on career choices, job qualifications, further training and job opportunities for people seeking a career change.
