Californian 20-Year Contract for Renewable Energy

Community Choice Energy providers MBCP and SVCE have announced their new contract for photovoltaic and battery storage to meet local as well as Californian clean energy goals.

The CCEs Monterey Bay Community Power (MBCP) and Silicon Valley Clean Energy (SVCE) will obtain renewable energy from a solar + storage project in Clark County, Nevada, beginning in December 2022. The capacities rank from 75 MW for MBCP to 50 MW for SVCE in solar energy while SVCE will also receive 26 MW of energy storage. Contract partner is NextEra Energy Yellow Pine Energy Center.
