The video gives you an insight of the highlights of ees Europe 2019. From battery production to home and commercial storage to power-to-gas: These topics are the focus of this year's ees Europe, Europe's largest and most international exhibition for batteries and energy storage systems. Discover sustainable solutions for the storage of renewable energies and innovative battery technologies at ees Europe! Europe's largest and most international exhibition for batteries and energy storage systems is the industry meeting place for suppliers, manufacturers and professional users of stationary energy storage solutions and battery systems. For 2019 more than 450 suppliers of energy storage technologies and energy storage systems will be present at ees Europe and the parallel exhibitions of The smarter E Europe in Munich. The exhibition will be accompanied by an ees Europe Conference lasting several days, at which leading experts will discuss and deepen current topics in the battery and energy storage industry.
This year, once again, the comprehensive market overview of battery storage systems of all sizes will be discussed. The focus will also be on battery production, integrated energy and power-to-gas. Europe's largest and most visited exhibition for batteries and energy storage systems is part of The smarter E Europe, Europe's largest platform for the energy industry. Renewable energies, digitization, energy storage, electromobility and energy management: 1,300 exhibitors and 50,000 trade visitors from 160 countries will come to Munich from 15-17 May with solutions for a future-oriented energy supply.
The PV market in Spain is on the move: after the change of government in 2018, the "sun tax" was abolished. In addition, bureaucracy for small PV systems has been greatly reduced and the first large solar power plants have been built without financial support. By 2030, a good 30 GW of new electric power is to be added. As a result, Spain is very likely to be among the GW markets in Europe as of this year. There are many indications that the battery storage market in Spain will also develop well in the coming years. The economic conditions in Spain are very attractive for the use of battery storage for various reasons.
The ees Europe therefore supports the creation of a white paper on the topic "Battery Storage Market Spain - Status and Perspectives" by the consultancy office denersol. The main results will be presented for the first time in this webinar.
In addition to the political and economic conditions, the white paper analyzes the potential applications of battery storage in Spain, the possible business and revenue models and their cost-effectiveness. It also shows essential differences in comparison between the German and Spanish markets, which should be addressed for a successful market development.

Applications in industry and commerce and for private and municipal utilities
In the context of the much-discussed energy transition, the use of large-scale storage systems is taking on an ever-greater role in commerce and industry, as well as for utilities. The aim is for storage systems to bridge the gap between the volatile infeed from renewable energy sources on the one hand and grid electricity demand on the other. As the grid is unable to store energy, exactly the same amount of power must be fed into it as consumers are drawing from it at any given moment. Linking up grids over large areas is of course another way to mitigate this issue. In this webinar, the speaker will be addressing the question: “When are commercial storage systems worthwhile?” Economic assessments of storage system projects show that – with just a few exceptions – battery storage systems must perform multiple tasks to generate a good return on investment. As every task contributes to the storage system’s overall revenue, it is common to look at it in terms of multiple revenue paths that combine to give the total profit margin. These revenue channels and their context will be explored as part of the webinar.

Energy storage solutions are definitely the next trend on the solar energy market. In Brazil, some companies are just starting to sell storage solutions designed for residential and commercial solar energy systems. But how is Brazil preparing itself for this "revolution" and is the market ready? What can we expect for the next five years? Adalberto Maluf (Director of Marketing, Sustainability and New Business at BYD Brasil) will address these questions during the free Intersolar South America. There will also be the opportunity for a Q&A session at the end of the presentation.
