Visitors to The smarter E Europe 2027 have the opportunity to visit the solar roof at Messe München during the event.
The rooftop photovoltaic system on the roofs of Messe München, the world's largest at the time of installation (1997), has proven itself with very good operating results and, even in its 29th year of operation, still generates as much energy as it did at the beginning. As the world's first megawatt-scale rooftop PV system, the plant is a milestone in the history of photovoltaics. Another special feature: the system has been scientifically monitored from the very beginning.
