Friederike Lassen was appointed Chairwoman of the German Hydrogen Association
(DWV) by its Executive Board, effective November 1st 2024. In this role, she
represents the interests of DWV members vis-à-vis the federal government and
reports directly to the Executive Board.
Prior to this, Friederike Lassen headed the Policy and Regulation Department at DWV,
where she was responsible for analyzing national and European legislative processes
in the field of renewable energies-particularly hydrogen and fuel cells. She also
developed the association's positions on energy policy issues and coordinated them
internally and externally.
From 2011 to 2021, she worked as a Senior Policy Advisor in the German Bundestag,
most recently focusing on budget policy within the field of economic and energy
policy. She studied North American Studies with a focus on law and economics at the
John F. Kennedy Institute of Freie Universität Berlin and the University of Potsdam,
graduating with a Magistra Artium degree in 2011.
