Intersolar, the world’s leading exhibition series for the solar industry; ees, the global event series for electrical energy storage; Power2Drive, the exhibition for charging infrastructure and electromobility, and EM-Power, the exhibition for intelligent energy use in industry and buildings, will be taking place once again under the umbrella of The smarter E, as well as parallel conferences expanding upon the exhibition’s main topics. Alongside the exhibitions and conferences of The smarter E – represented on four continents in Munich, San Diego, Mexico City, São Paulo, Gandhinagar, Gujarat and Dubai – additional one-day summits in up-and-coming markets will also be taking place.

Freiburg Wirtschaft Touristik und Messe GmbH & Co. KG (FWTM) is the central service provider for the city of Freiburg in the areas of economic development, tourism, city marketing, and event management. Since 1987, FWTM has been supporting companies, organizing trade fairs and events, promoting tourism, and developing innovative concepts for sustainable urban development. With around 175 employees, it is actively shaping the future of Freiburg and strengthening the regional economy and quality of life.
Since 2000, FWTM has been working with Solar Promotion GmbH to organize trade fairs and conferences on the topic of renewable energies. The collaboration began with Intersolar, which took place in Freiburg until 2007. In 2008, the two companies moved to Munich together—the starting point for international expansion to four continents.
