Munich, June 2, 2017: ees Europe, the continent’s largest and most-visited exhibition for batteries and energy storage systems, drew to a close today after enjoying great success. This year’s exhibition focused on large-scale storage systems and grid integration, as well as e-mobility. Another area of interest included optimizing self-consumption in private homes and commercial buildings, where the energy generated from installations is used on site. In 2017, 254 companies from all over the world presented their products, services and solutions at ees Europe over an exhibition area of 17,500 square meters. Together with Intersolar Europe, the world’s leading exhibition for the solar industry and its partners, almost 440 of the over 1,100 exhibitors were presenting innovative energy storage solutions. The two exhibitions drew around 40,000 visitors to Munich. more
The ees (electrical energy storage) Europe Conference will take place at Munich International Congress Center from May 30–31, 2017 in the run-up to the trade fair. It will feature 200 expert speakers,12 battery and energy storage sessions, a side event on battery safety and networking events in an inviting atmosphere. Discussions featured at the event are known for delving into the hottest energy storage trends of the day, including global battery market development, real life projects large-scale energy storage and the role of smart renewable energy, i.e. combining energy generation, energy storage and energy management, and integrating electric vehicles into the renewable energy system of the future. This year, the topics in the spotlight will include automotive battery technology, vehicle integration, charging technologies, vehicle-to-grid and non-battery storage technologies such as power-to-gas, ultracapacitors and flywheels.
