Green Hydrogen as an Enabler of a Climate-Neutral Economic System

ees Europe Focus Topic 2022

Power-to-X technologies are the key to a successful energy transition. Especially green hydrogen – which is derived from renewable energies via electrolysis – has earned a leading role.

Not only can green hydrogen be used for the carbon-neutral storage of renewable energy, it can also be used as a raw material in industrial production and as a fuel in the transportation sector. The European Commission regards hydrogen as one of the key enabling technologies in its strategy for reducing greenhouse gas emissions.

Many member states including Austria and Germany are experiencing a hydrogen boom, as can be seen in the initiation of national hydrogen strategies. This development also offers manufacturers of electrolyzers and fuel cells enormous business potential and many other perspectives. Werner Diwald, Managing Director of the German Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Association, emphasizes: „The green hydrogen is ready, we just have to push it. This creates industrial jobs.“

The leading players in the industry have already developed solutions for implementing the hydrogen strategy and the European Green Deal, and they are ready to showcase them at ees Europe in Munich. Do not miss out on the opportunity to enhance your own business models and contacts!
