precise pumps - smart solutions

HNPM produces pumps and dosing systems for precise dosing of the smallest liquid volumes. Five series of micro annular gear pumps (mzr® pumps) enable smallest dosing volumes from 0.25 µl and volume flows from 1 µl/h to 1152 ml/min as well as pressures up to max. 150 bar.

The pumps are characterized by a compact design and low dead volume as well as low-pulsation and low-shear delivery. There is a wide choice of materials with high chemical resistance.

Applications include instrumental analysis, chemical and pharmaceutical production, and mechanical and plant engineering. Micro pumps from HNPM perform demanding metering and filling tasks in energy storage, like:

Filling battery cells with electrolytes

Filling electrolytes into battery cells is a critical step in battery manufacturing. Factors such as electrolyte formulation, pressure, and temperature must be considered in the filling process. Critical to battery performance and life are the quality of the electrolyte and the precision of the filling process. Small dispensing differences result in large performance variations. High-precision micro annular gear pumps are able to ensure this precision.

Lithium-based liquid battery electrolytes are crystallizing and hazardous to health, requiring the use of hermetic pumps. For example, the mzr-7265 magnetic hermetic pump dispenses volumes between 4-8 ml in 2 s under vacuum with a variation of less than 1%.

LOHC-based hydrogen storage

LOHC are liquid organic hydrogen carriers that can absorb and release hydrogen by chemical bonding. They serve as storage and transport media for hydrogen.

Pumps of the high-performance series, mzr-4605 or mzr-7205 are used to pump LOHC dibenzyltoluene, perhydro-dibenzyltoluene and benzyltoluene. The micropumps supply e.g. dibenzyltoluene with volume flows between 1 ml/min and 240 ml/min into a reactor.
