EcoFlow was born with the dream of a couple of engineers. Dr. Bruce Wang, the founder of EcoFlow, grew up in a city close to a desert. During his childhood, he witnessed how people there suffered from severe sandstorms. Since then, he had a goal to pursue a career in renewable energy, which led him to complete a PhD in energy storage technologies at the University of Hong Kong. Today, EcoFlow has over 2500 employees worldwide, and 40% of them are dedicated to R&D. From 2017 to 2022, EcoFlow's RIVER and DELTA series of portable power stations were purchased by more than 2 million consumers in over 100 markets worldwide, generating revenue close to $1 billion in 2022. Five years of dedication have made EcoFlow a leader in the field of portable power storage, and inspired the team to have new dreams. 2023 marks a turning point for EcoFlow as it starts to transition from portable power storage to power solutions for homes. This has been EcoFlow's dream and mission since day one - to provide eco-friendly energy solutions for individuals and families, and to promote a paradigm shift towards new energy worldwide. What does new energy mean for end users? It means replacing traditional fossil fuels and public power grids with solar panels and home energy solutions, without the cost of consuming fossil fuels and damaging the environment for the development of human civilization, enabling people to live a better life. EcoFlow founder and CEO Dr. Bruce Wang said, "Where is EcoFlow going? To a future where everyone can care for their families and prepare for increasingly common climate disasters, aging power grids, and rising energy bills by way of reliable, safe, sustainable, and smart energy solutions."
