The industrial engineer started his career after his studies at the University of Applied Sciences Würzburg and Heriot-Watt University Edinburg in the field of product management for data input and output devices. Since 2016, he has been involved in various positions in the field of hydrogen production within the GP JOULE Group and is currently active within the EPC department as a project manager with a focus on electrolysis & controls. The vision of 100% renewable is always the basis and drive behind the ideas, projects and decisions of Marian Hieke and the entire GP JOULE Group.

Bernd received his doctor degree in Electrical Engineering while working as a freelancer for Robert Bosch GmbH, focusing on the use of microelectronics in cars. His professional career started in 1995 when he joined Siemens AG, Mobility division. He was working in the field of interlockings and train automation systems including self-optimized operations. After taking over responsibility for various units across Germany and the UK, he moved to the energy sector within Siemens in 2006. Bernd was responsible for global sales of remote control and automation systems for transformers and switchgear. In 2011 he stated a new business segment called „Energy Automation Applications” with a special focus on Microgrids, Demand Response and Virtual Power Plants. Since 2015 he was heading the Centre of Competence for Distributed Energy Systems and focused on energy efficiency, supply side and flexibility options for industry and infrastructure customers in Germany before he was promoted to Chief Technologist for Energy and Performance Services Germany in 2021

With a university background in Economics and Politics, Alexander Feindt has a working experience of ten years in the oil and gas industry in various business units, e.g. he was responsible for setting up the Shell Marine LNG business in the D-A-CH countries and chairing the German Maritime LNG advocacy platform. Since 2019 he is the Global Business Development Manager at MAN Energy Solutions for the Medium Speed Marine (“Four-stroke”) business unit. There he manages external affairs and is responsible for maritime industry partnerships. His role is to evaluate trends, developments and requirements in the space of alternative marine fuels/propulsion as well as unmanned shipping and shaping those into products/services for the future. He also represents MAN ES at various industry bodies such as Getting to Zero Coalition and SeaEurope / Waterborne or the Hydrogen Council.
