This year the Federal Network Agency has for the first time carried out a so-called innovation tender with a volume of 650 MW. 133 bids with a volume of 1,095 MW were received, so the tender was almost twice oversubscribed. A total of 73 bids with a volume of 677 MW were accepted. Of these, 394 MW were accounted for by 28 plant combinations, 27 of which were combinations of solar plants with storage tanks. Which combination projects were successful, and why? The The smart E webinar "What makes solar and storage projects successful in the innovation tender" shows background information and analyses. Because the next innovation call for proposals will be in September 2021!
The webinar will be taking place on Tuesday, November 03, 2020, 11:00am CET in German.
presented by the ees AWARD Winners 2020
Driven by upcoming innovations, energy storage is one of the main pillars of the renewable energy mix of the future. The ees AWARD addresses this significance and annually honors the best innovations in the industry.
This webinar features the ees AWARD Winners 2020 FENECON, Webasto and ZnR Batteries presenting on the hot topic “The Future of Energy Storage: From Plug and Play to Second Life to New Materials”. Join the webinar to gain insights into the latest innovations in the field of energy storage.

Despite Corona, the market for electric cars as well as photovoltaic systems and storage is booming in the energy transition country Germany. At the same time, they offer potential to boost the local economy. What are these potentials and what are the measures to push the energy transition after the crisis?
Find out more about the role that photovoltaics, energy storage and power-to-x (sector coupling) will play in future German power generation through our experts from EuPD Research and the German Solar Industry Association, and how stronger electrification of the mobility and heating sectors will affect the impending electricity generation gap or may prevent it. Which political course changes are necessary in the short term and are foreseeable against the background of the current climate debate in order to significantly accelerate the expansion of photovoltaics?

This video is about the trend topic "Power-To-Gas". We visit the players of the ees Europe 2019 - here James Watson from Eurogas - and ask, why the topic is just right at The smarter E Europe.
The video gives you an insight of the highlights of ees Europe 2019. From battery production to home and commercial storage to power-to-gas: These topics are the focus of this year's ees Europe, Europe's largest and most international exhibition for batteries and energy storage systems. Discover sustainable solutions for the storage of renewable energies and innovative battery technologies at ees Europe! Europe's largest and most international exhibition for batteries and energy storage systems is the industry meeting place for suppliers, manufacturers and professional users of stationary energy storage solutions and battery systems. For 2019 more than 450 suppliers of energy storage technologies and energy storage systems will be present at ees Europe and the parallel exhibitions of The smarter E Europe in Munich. The exhibition will be accompanied by an ees Europe Conference lasting several days, at which leading experts will discuss and deepen current topics in the battery and energy storage industry.
This year, once again, the comprehensive market overview of battery storage systems of all sizes will be discussed. The focus will also be on battery production, integrated energy and power-to-gas. Europe's largest and most visited exhibition for batteries and energy storage systems is part of The smarter E Europe, Europe's largest platform for the energy industry. Renewable energies, digitization, energy storage, electromobility and energy management: 1,300 exhibitors and 50,000 trade visitors from 160 countries will come to Munich from 15-17 May with solutions for a future-oriented energy supply.
