He leads Fluence's Western Europe team where he is responsible for overseeing all aspects of energy storage product and services sales. Marek has over a decade of experience in cleantech, including an instrumental role in delivering Europe's first grid scale commercial battery storage project in 2015. A prominent energy industry influencer and thought leader, Marek is also a cleantech advisor to the UN and in 2017 was also named a Forbes 30 Under 30 honouree; a list that recognises 'the world's most inspiring young innovators, bright rising stars and the leaders of tomorrow

Florian Mayr is an expert for strategy, business development and transaction advisory in the global renewable energy markets, including energy storage. Mr. Mayr leads Apricum's energy storage practice and is responsible for the company's international activities in this field. In particular, Mr. Mayr supports Apricum's clients in successfully accessing new markets and seizing attractive business opportunities. He is also active in advising cleantech companies on corporate and project financing, including M&A, fund raising and due diligence. Furthermore, he is a regular contributor to external publications and a frequently booked speaker on the topic of energy storage. Prior to Apricum, he spent a decade in senior positions at McKinsey & Company and RWE, where he was mainly involved in strategy development projects both in the conventional and renewable energy sectors. Mr. Mayr holds a master's degree in engineering from the Technical University of Berlin, and an MBA from the Technical University of Berlin and the University of Mannheim.

He studied mechanical engineering and has 20 years of management experience, including international teams, as well as in-depth experience in international project management, expertise in implementation of new structures and processes and merger and acquisitions. Before joining Rolls-Royce Solutions, he served as the Head of Micro Technologies Division at Rohwedder AG. After he joint Rolls-Royce Solutions he was responsible for project system business and he let the global power generation business for over 5 years.

Matthias Giller is an experienced specialist of battery storage systems in the field of renewable energies as well as a comprehensive industry expert. Since 2022 he is Head of Sales at MaxSolar GmbH and therefore a member of the company´s management board. In his area of responsibility are all Sales and Marketing activities throughout the company. During his time as Sales Manager at INTILION GmbH, he was successful and significantly responsible for the expansion of the sales force. His focus was on Sales of C&I and Utility-Scale battery storage systems. Matthias Giller holds a degree in Technical Consulting and Management (M.A.) from Hamm-Lippstadt University of Applied Sciences. He completed his dual studies at Hoppecke Batterien GmbH & Co. KG and work for the company for around twelve years.

Rebekka Schuster is the CCO of EDF Renewables Storage Deutschland, a startup founded in 2018 in Berlin with the support of EDF Renewables. The company's goal is to help the German industry build energy resilience through storage and solar energy projects. The company has successfully grown and is now one of the leading providers of storage as a service for the German industry. Rebekka brings more than a decade of experience in the renewable energy industry. Her focus has been developing PV plants and market access strategies throughout Europe for international companies such as Hanergy and First Solar. She joined the EDF group in 2018 with the focus on battery storage, integration of renewable energies and service concepts for the industry. New business models and strategies to develop the renewable energies market have been her constant driver.

Daniel Sherlock-Burke, Gore Street Capital Limited

Daniel Sherlock-Burke is Head of Asset Performance at Gore Street Capital, where he manages the Gore Street Energy Storage Fund's operational portfolio. He is primarily responsible for interfacing with operations and maintenance teams to ensure fleet availability, whilst working closely with route-to-market providers to optimise each project's revenue structure. Dan feeds this experience up to a fleet level, utilising lessons learned to set minimum criteria for the pipeline whilst enacting policies for improving the existing assets. This has extended to another 400MW of projects currently under construction as well as a significant pipeline beyond that. He is particularly passionate about safety improvements for BESS-supporting and chairing various industry groups in the UK-and the opportunities of data-led methods of improving fleet performance.
