Exhibition: June 20-22, 2018
Conference: June 19–20, 2018
Discover future-ready solutions for renewable energy storage and e-mobility at Europe’s largest exhibition for batteries and energy storage systems and the industry hotspot for suppliers, manufacturers, distributors and users of stationary and mobile electrical energy storage solutions. Key players of the industry present battery innovations along the whole value chain and smart renewable energy solutions like energy storage communities or electric cars on the grid. The exhibition and conference both focus on renewable energy storage, from residential and commercial applications to large-scale storage systems for stabilizing the grid. The spotlight is also shined on topics like energy management, electric transportation and intelligent systems integration. Charging the Future!
Munich, June 2, 2017: ees Europe, the continent’s largest and most-visited exhibition for batteries and energy storage systems, drew to a close today after enjoying great success. This year’s exhibition focused on large-scale storage systems and grid integration, as well as e-mobility. Another area of interest included optimizing self-consumption in private homes and commercial buildings, where the energy generated from installations is used on site. In 2017, 254 companies from all over the world presented their products, services and solutions at ees Europe over an exhibition area of 17,500 square meters. Together with Intersolar Europe, the world’s leading exhibition for the solar industry and its partners, almost 440 of the over 1,100 exhibitors were presenting innovative energy storage solutions. The two exhibitions drew around 40,000 visitors to Munich. more
The ees (electrical energy storage) Europe Conference will take place at Munich International Congress Center from May 30–31, 2017 in the run-up to the trade fair. It will feature 200 expert speakers,12 battery and energy storage sessions, a side event on battery safety and networking events in an inviting atmosphere. Discussions featured at the event are known for delving into the hottest energy storage trends of the day, including global battery market development, real life projects large-scale energy storage and the role of smart renewable energy, i.e. combining energy generation, energy storage and energy management, and integrating electric vehicles into the renewable energy system of the future. This year, the topics in the spotlight will include automotive battery technology, vehicle integration, charging technologies, vehicle-to-grid and non-battery storage technologies such as power-to-gas, ultracapacitors and flywheels.
Batteries have established themselves as key technologies for the energy and transport transitions. Combining energy storage with renewable power generation, energy management and e-mobility – known as sector coupling – is gaining in importance as demand for electric vehicles grows. This is prompting more and more automotive manufactures to offer e-models with increasingly powerful batteries and solutions for integrating mobile storage devices. Renewable energies and e-mobility are an optimal combination. For this reason, the topic of e-mobility is receiving increasing attention from exhibitors, visitors and the accompanying program at the ees Europe in Munich, Europe's largest exhibition for batteries and energy storage systems.
